Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
The verse frames the Goddess as cit (pure consciousness) and paramānanda (supreme bliss), emphasizing that liberation and successful spiritual life arise through divine grace; devotion becomes a direct means to receive that grace.
In Linga/Saguna worship, the devotee approaches the Divine with form and attributes to access the formless truth; here Shiva’s own prayer models the same bhakti posture—seeking the gracious, manifest power (Shakti) that enables the intended divine work.
Use a simple prayerful japa and surrender: invoke Shiva-Shakti with reverence (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya or a Devi salutation), then mentally offer one’s intention (kārya) and request prasāda (grace) before worship with bhasma/tripundra or rudraksha if practiced.
