कामभस्म-प्रार्थना: रत्याः शङ्करं प्रति विनयः / Rati’s Supplication to Śaṅkara regarding Kāma’s Ashes
शम्भुरागत्य स्वस्थानं ववन्दे च मुनींस्तदा । हरिं च मां भवाचाराद्वन्दितोऽभूत्सुरादिभिः
śambhurāgatya svasthānaṃ vavande ca munīṃstadā | hariṃ ca māṃ bhavācārādvandito'bhūtsurādibhiḥ
Alors Śambhu retourna en Sa propre demeure et salua avec révérence les sages muni. Selon le décorum divin, Hari et moi fûmes nous aussi honorés comme il se doit, vénérés par les dieux et les autres êtres.

It teaches that even the Supreme Lord, as Saguna Śiva (Śambhu), demonstrates dharmic humility by honoring realized sages; reverence to the saintly is presented as an essential mark of true bhakti and spiritual order.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s līlā: He models proper ācāra and devotion. In Linga-worship too, the devotee is guided to approach Śiva with humility, honoring gurus and rishis as part of complete pūjā.
Practice deva-vandana and rishi-vandana as a daily discipline: begin worship with respectful salutations (praṇāma), then japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a humble, surrendered attitude.
