It highlights bhakti expressed through reverent hospitality—offering a worthy seat and speaking with sweetness—showing how loving, respectful approach to Śiva invites his gracious presence.
The verse reflects the logic of saguna-upāsanā: devotees honor Śiva in a perceivable form with offerings (upacāras) like āsana and gentle prayerful speech—paralleling how the Liṅga is worshiped with formal services.
It suggests upacāra-bhakti—beginning worship by offering āsana (a seat) and then reciting pleasing, sattvic words such as the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a calm, smiling mind.
