It portrays the sattvic, auspicious atmosphere that naturally surrounds dharmic events—where shared devotion (bhakti) expresses itself as mangala-dhvani, expanding collective ānanda and supporting a Shiva-centered sacred mood.
In Saguna Shiva worship, external expressions—kīrtana, maṅgala-gīta, and instrumental music—serve as offerings (upacāras) that steady the mind and intensify devotion, making the ritual space fit for honoring the Śiva-liṅga.
It suggests kīrtana/maṅgala-gāna as a devotional practice alongside pūjā—chanting Shiva’s names (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) in a harmonious, uplifting setting.
