Puis le prêtre de famille, expert en rites, accomplit avec joie pour le magnanime Śaṅkara tous les devoirs cérémoniels requis, à commencer par l’offrande de madhuparka et les autres gestes d’accueil honorifique.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It teaches that honoring Śiva with joy and correctness—through dharmic rites and heartfelt devotion—purifies the worshipper and aligns action (kriyā) with reverence for Pati, the Lord.
The verse reflects Saguna upāsanā: welcoming and serving Śiva through tangible offerings and formal rites, the same devotional attitude later expressed in Liṅga-pūjā with upacāras (ritual services).
It suggests performing prescribed upacāras—such as madhuparka and respectful reception—done with gladness; as a practical takeaway, one may offer standard pūjā services while repeating the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
