हिमवतः सुमङ्गलोत्सव-नगररचना
Himavān’s Auspicious Festival Preparations and City Adornment
एवं विमोहनार्थन्तु कृतं वै विश्वकर्मणा । देवानां च मुनीनां च तेन प्रीतात्मना मुने
evaṃ vimohanārthantu kṛtaṃ vai viśvakarmaṇā | devānāṃ ca munīnāṃ ca tena prītātmanā mune

It highlights how even gods and sages can be caught by मोह (delusion) through crafted appearances, implying that liberation in Shaiva thought requires Shiva-grace and viveka (discernment) beyond mere spectacle.
The verse contrasts manufactured marvels with true refuge: Saguna Shiva worship—especially the Linga—anchors the mind in the स्थिर (steady) presence of Pati (Shiva), helping devotees transcend deceptive appearances (maya).
A practical takeaway is japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady attention, supported by simple Shaiva disciplines like applying Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and cultivating detachment from sensory wonders.
