मंगलं कर्तुमारेभे गिरिर्मंगलकृद्दिने । संस्कारं कारयामासुः पार्वत्याः पर्वतस्त्रियः

Transliteration

maṃgalaṃ kartumārebhe girirmaṃgalakṛddine | saṃskāraṃ kārayāmāsuḥ pārvatyāḥ parvatastriyaḥ

Translation

En un jour de bon augure, le Roi des Montagnes, l’Himālaya, entreprit les préparatifs des rites de consécration; et les femmes des montagnes se mirent à accomplir les saṃskāra de Pārvatī, la préparant au-dehors et au-dedans pour l’union sacrée avec le Seigneur Śiva.
