Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Bhikṣāṭana
Offering: naivedya
It highlights Śiva’s līlā: the Supreme Lord remains inwardly tranquil while moving through ordinary social roles, teaching that peace (śānti) and devotion can be lived through simple, dharmic conduct.
By showing Śiva acting in a human-like form, the verse supports Saguna upāsanā—approaching Śiva through accessible forms and stories—while implying that the same Lord is ultimately serene and transcendent, as symbolized by the Linga.
Practice śānti-bhāva with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and cultivate seva (service) and hospitality as a daily offering to Śiva, remembering His presence in all beings.
