Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It highlights śiva-kṛpā (Shiva’s grace): when devotion ripens, the Lord ‘arrives’ in the devotee’s life, transforming one from anātha (unsupported) to sanātha (protected), emphasizing refuge and divine compassion.
Pārvatī addresses Shiva personally (Saguna), showing that loving surrender and praise are valid means of approach; in Linga-worship the same Shiva is invoked as the accessible Lord who responds to bhakti with protection and grace.
The takeaway is śaraṇāgati with japa: repeat the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with humility, offering inner dependence to Shiva as protector (sanātha-bhāva), especially suitable for Mahāśivarātri vrata and daily pūjā.
