FAQs

The verse frames creation and lineage as dependent on Prakṛti (Nature) functioning under the Lord’s mastery, pointing to the Shaiva Siddhanta vision where Pati (the Lord) is the ultimate controller and Prakṛti is His operative power in manifestation.

By emphasizing “the Lord” as the source behind generative power, it supports Saguna Shiva worship: devotees revere Shiva (often through the Liṅga) as the sovereign cause, while Prakṛti and all embodied forms are understood as dependent realities under His grace.

A practical takeaway is to meditate on Shiva as Pati (the supreme Lord) while repeating the Panchākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—contemplating that all energies of nature and embodiment operate through His lordship and are purified by His grace.
