शिवपुत्रजननवर्णनम् — Description of the Birth/Manifestation of Śiva’s Son
शिव उवाच । हे विष्णो हे विधे देवास्सर्वेषां वो मनोगतिः । यद्भावि तद्भवत्येव कोऽपि नो तन्निवारकः
śiva uvāca | he viṣṇo he vidhe devāssarveṣāṃ vo manogatiḥ | yadbhāvi tadbhavatyeva ko'pi no tannivārakaḥ
Śiva dit : « Ô Viṣṇu, ô Vidhātr̥ (Brahmā) ! Ô Deva—vos pensées et vos intentions sont connues de tous. Ce qui doit advenir advient à coup sûr ; nul ne peut l’empêcher. »
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse emphasizes niyati (divine order): events ripen according to karma under the Lord’s governance, so the seeker should cultivate surrender, steadiness, and devotion rather than anxiety over outcomes.
By affirming that destiny unfolds inevitably, the verse supports Saguna Shiva worship (such as Linga-pūjā) as a path of śaraṇāgati—offering actions and results to Shiva, the Lord who regulates cosmic order.
A practical takeaway is japa with the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with bhāva of surrender, and offering daily worship (including bhasma/tripuṇḍra if one follows the tradition) while accepting outcomes as Shiva’s ordinance.
