शिवपुत्रजननवर्णनम् — Description of the Birth/Manifestation of Śiva’s Son

Alors Agni disparut promptement, s’en allant sous la forme d’une flamme éclatante. Le cœur comblé, il retourna en son propre séjour, se souvenant intérieurement de toi — de toi, Śaṅkara, le Seigneur de bon augure.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Kumārakhaṇḍa account to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
The verse highlights smaraṇa (inner remembrance) of Śiva as a purified, devotional state: even after the event ends, the devotee returns to worldly duty while keeping Śaṅkara held in the mind, indicating Shiva-centered consciousness as a path to grace.
Agni’s departure “remembering Śaṅkara” reflects Saguna-bhakti—holding Shiva’s auspicious form and name in the heart. Linga worship similarly trains the mind to remain anchored in Shiva’s presence beyond the ritual moment.
Practice mental japa and smaraṇa of Shiva—especially the Panchākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—so that remembrance continues after worship, like Agni who departs while keeping Śaṅkara in mind.
