Deliberation on the Marriages of Gaṇeśa and Ṣaṇmukha
Tattva Level: pashu
The verse highlights how extraordinary worldly feats can still coexist with misunderstanding; in Shaiva Siddhanta, true fulfillment comes from right knowledge and devotion to Pati (Shiva), not from mere external conquest.
Kumāra’s statement contrasts outer achievement with inner realization; Linga worship centers the mind on Saguna Shiva as the accessible focus that matures devotion into wisdom, correcting ego and establishing Shiva as the ultimate refuge.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with humility—optionally with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—so that power is aligned with devotion and discernment rather than pride.
