Nārada
Tattva Level: pashu
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights the devotee’s reverent inquiry into divine līlā and the role of kṛpā (grace): sacred events are to be heard with humility, because understanding arises through compassionate transmission and attentive śravaṇa (listening).
Though the verse is narrative, it supports Saguna-oriented devotion: the Goddess and her son are approached as tangible divine realities whose deeds are contemplated—an attitude that complements Linga worship by cultivating bhakti and remembrance of Shiva’s family and grace-filled acts.
The implied practice is śravaṇa and smaraṇa—listening to Shiva Purana kathā with devotion and reflecting on it; this is naturally paired with japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) before or after hearing the narration.
