It shows that after proper worship, the devotees move in an auspicious, disciplined manner, and the first divine encounter is with Ekadanta—signifying removal of obstacles and the orderly unfolding of grace in a Shaiva narrative.
In Shaiva tradition, devotion to Saguna forms supports the seeker’s approach to Shiva’s highest reality. Meeting Gaṇeśa (Shiva’s son and gatekeeper-like protector of auspicious beginnings) harmonizes the path before deeper Shiva-worship proceeds.
Begin any sacred undertaking with pūjā and an auspicious orientation (such as facing a prescribed direction), and invoke Gaṇeśa/Ekadanta first for obstacle-removal—then continue with Shaiva worship (e.g., japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” where applicable).
