The verse emphasizes right recognition (jñāna) of Pati—Śiva as the supreme Lord. Ignorance makes one obstruct the Divine, while true understanding yields humility and alignment with Śiva’s will.
Śiva speaks in a personal (saguṇa) mode, asserting his identity and lordship. Linga-worship similarly trains the devotee to recognize Śiva’s presence and authority even when the mind treats Him as “ordinary.”
Cultivate reverent recognition through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a daily attitude of surrender, avoiding egoic “forbidding” of the Lord’s movement in one’s life.
