यथैकं चैव सूर्याख्यं ज्योतिर्नानाविधं जनैः । जलादौ च विशेषेण दृश्यते तत्तथैव सः

Transliteration

yathaikaṃ caiva sūryākhyaṃ jyotirnānāvidhaṃ janaiḥ | jalādau ca viśeṣeṇa dṛśyate tattathaiva saḥ

Translation

De même que l’unique lumière appelée Soleil est perçue par les hommes de multiples façons—surtout comme des reflets variés dans l’eau et autres supports—ainsi Lui (Śiva), bien qu’Un, est vu sous des formes et apparences diverses.
