Sukta 5.2
तुविग्रीवो वृषभो वावृधानोऽशत्र्वर्यः समजाति वेदः । इतीममग्निममृता अवोचन्बर्हिष्मते मनवे शर्म यंसद्धविष्मते मनवे शर्म यंसत् ॥
tuvigrī́vo vṛṣabhó vāvṛdhānó ’śátrv aryaḥ sám ajāti védaḥ | itī́mám agním amṛ́tā avocan barhíṣmate mánave śárma yaṃsad havíṣmate mánave śárma yaṃsat ||
Au cou puissant, taureau croissant sans cesse en force, le noble sans hostilité, il connaît la naissance commune. Ainsi les Immortels ont parlé de cet Agni : « Qu’il accorde paix et refuge à l’homme qui étend le barhis ; qu’il accorde paix et refuge à l’homme qui porte l’offrande (havis). »
