युद्धाय रावणस्य निर्याणं तथा उत्पातदर्शनम्

अद्यमद्भाणनिर्भिन्नैःप्रकीर्णैर्गतचेतनैः ।करोमिवानरैर्युद्धेयत्नावेक्ष्यतलांमहीम् ।।6.96.19।।

Transliteration

adya madbāṇa-nirbhinnaiḥ prakīrṇair gata-cetanaiḥ |

karomi vānarair yuddhe yatnāvīkṣya-talāṁ mahīm ||6.96.19||

Translation

« Aujourd’hui, dans la bataille, je couvrirai la terre de vānara, fendus par mes flèches et privés de vie, si bien qu’on ne distinguera le sol qu’avec peine », (dit Rāvaṇa).
