Sarga 95: Lamentation in Laṅkā and the Causal Chain of Enmity

हतप्रवीरारामेणनिराशाजीवितेवयम् ।।।।अपश्य्नत्योभयस्यान्तमनाथाविलपामहे ।

Transliteration

hata-pravīrā rāmeṇa nirāśā jīvite vayam |

apaśyantyo bhayasyāntam anāthā vilapāmahe ||6.95.25||

Translation

Nos plus grands héros ayant été tués par Rāma, nous avons perdu l’espoir de vivre ; ne voyant pas la fin de cette terreur, nous gémissons comme des êtres sans protection.
