The Slaying of Indrajit
पतितंतमभिज्ञायराक्षसीसामहाचमूः ।वध्यमानादिशोभेजेहरिभिर्जितकाशिभिः ।।।।
patitaṃ tam abhijñāya rākṣasī sā mahācamūḥ |
vadhyamānā diśo bheje haribhir jitakāśibhiḥ ||
Comprenant qu’il était tombé, cette grande armée de Rākṣasas—assaillie par les Vānaras avides de victoire—se rompit et se dispersa vers tous les horizons.
Great army of Rakshasas even though desired to win seeing (Indrajith dead), Vanaras started attacking them. Unable to bear Rakshasas screamed.
When unjust leadership collapses, adharma-based strength loses cohesion; the verse teaches that morale built on fear and deception is fragile.
The Rākṣasa army, learning of Indrajit’s fall, is attacked by the Vānaras and begins to flee in disarray.
Determination and disciplined pursuit of a just objective by the Vānaras (collective resolve in battle).
