Voyant leurs flèches repoussées et rendues vaines au cœur même du front de bataille, Lakṣmaṇa et Indrajit furent saisis de honte, et la colère s’éleva en eux.
Then both Lakshmana and Indrajith in the face of the battle seeing their arrows in nought with each other were abashed and got agitated.
Dharma calls for mastery over krodha: anger naturally arises in conflict, but righteous action requires governing emotion rather than being governed by it.
After their missiles cancel each other, both champions react emotionally—shame at ineffectiveness and anger at the impasse.
For the dharmic warrior, kṣamā and self-command are implied ideals, even when provoked by failure or resistance.
