Ainsi, blessé dans ce combat par les flèches du rākṣasa, Lakṣmaṇa riposta aussitôt et perça Indrajit—au visage orné de belles boucles d’oreilles—de cinq traits.
Then in the battle, pierced by Rakshasa in that manner, Laksmana immediately stretched his bow and struck with five arrows on the face of Indrajith, who was adorned with auspicious earrings.
Measured response in righteous combat: Lakṣmaṇa answers an attack promptly and effectively, but within the accepted framework of warrior conduct.
After being pierced, Lakṣmaṇa immediately counterattacks and hits Indrajit’s face with five arrows.
Composure and readiness—Lakṣmaṇa’s quick, disciplined retaliation rather than collapse or panic.
