The Slaying of Indrajit
ततोरथस्थमालोक्यसौमत्रीरावणात्मजम् ।वानराश्चमहावीर्याराक्षसश्चविभीषणः ।।।।विस्मयंपरमंजग्मुर्लाघवात्तस्यधीमतः ।
tato ratha-stham ālokya saumitri rāvaṇātmajam |
vānarāś ca mahā-vīryā rākṣasaś ca vibhīṣaṇaḥ ||
vismayaṃ paramaṃ jagmur lāghavāt tasya dhīmataḥ ||
Alors, voyant le fils de Rāvaṇa assis sur son char, Lakshmana, les puissants Vānara et le rākṣasa Vibhīṣaṇa furent saisis d’un profond étonnement devant la vitesse et l’adresse de ce guerrier avisé.
Seeing Indrajith seated in the chariot, great hero Lakshmana as well as the Vanaras and Vibheeshana wondered how easily he went and returned.
