The Slaying of Atikāya
And then enraged Lakshmana covered with water like a rainy cloud would shower with torrents.
The verse reflects kṣātra-dharma: decisive action against an aggressor in battle, undertaken with resolve to protect righteousness and one’s side.
In the battlefield at Laṅkā, Lakṣmaṇa attacks Atikāya (Rāvaṇa’s son) with a heavy barrage of arrows.
Lakṣmaṇa’s determination and martial vigor—swift, forceful engagement against a formidable foe.
