The Slaying of Atikāya
Then Kakutstha saw from a distance form of huge body looking like a mountain, wielding bow, rumbling like a cloud at universal destruction.
In this specific context of the Yuddha Kanda, 'Kakutstha' refers to Lakshmana, who spots the formidable demon Atikaya entering the battlefield to challenge the Vanara army.
The term 'kālameghavat' means 'like a cloud at the time of universal dissolution.' It signifies the terrifying power, darkness, and loud roaring nature of Atikaya, presenting him as a force of destruction against Dharma that must be quelled.
