Par ce fils de mon frère, à l'âme perverse et indigne fils, ces deux héros au courage droit ont été trompés par l'esprit tortueux d'un Rākṣasa.
"The princess who were guileless in their prowess were cheated by my evil minded and stupid son of my brother by his crooked thinking and cheating."
Dharma requires naming wrongdoing truthfully, even when it implicates one’s own family; moral responsibility stands above kinship.
Vibhīṣaṇa identifies the culprit as his brother’s son (commonly understood as Indrajit) and condemns the deceit used against Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s satya (truthfulness) and integrity—he refuses to excuse adharma because of family ties.
