Transliteration

dṛṣṭvā dāśarathir laṅkāṃ citra-dhvaja-patākinīm |

jagāma sahasā sītāṃ dūyamānena cetasā ||

Translation

Lorsque le fils de Daśaratha vit Laṅkā ornée de bannières et d’étendards multicolores, son esprit alla aussitôt vers Sītā, et son cœur brûla d’une peine anxieuse.
