युद्धलक्षण-निमित्तदर्शनं तथा लङ्काद्वारव्यूहः
War Omens and the Encirclement of Lanka’s Gates
सन्नह्यतुससुग्रीवःकपिराजबलंमहत् ।कालज्ञोराघवःकालेसंयुगायाभ्यचोदयत् ।।6.41.25।।
sannahyatu sa sugrīvaḥ kapi-rāja-balaṁ mahat | kāla-jño rāghavaḥ kāle saṁyugāyābhyacodayat ||
«Que Sugrīva mette en ordre la grande armée du roi des Vānara.» Rāghava, connaissant l’heure propice, les pressa d’aller au combat au moment convenable.
Raghava, who is knowledgeable of when to do what, motivated the army of Vanaras and Sugriva and ordered.
Dharma in leadership includes kāla-jñatā—acting at the right time, neither premature nor delayed, for the common good.
Rāma initiates mobilization, directing Sugrīva to prepare the Vānara army for the coming engagement.
Timely governance—Rāma’s discernment of the proper moment to command action.
