समुद्रतट-प्रयाणम् तथा वेलावन-निवेशः
March to the Seacoast and Encampment at the Shore
अथ धौतोपलतलां तोयौघै स्सहसोत्थितैः ।वेलामासाद्य विपुलान्रामो वचनमब्रवीत् ।।।।
atha dhautopalatalāṃ toyaughaiḥ sahasotthitaiḥ |
velām āsādya vipulāṃ rāmo vacanam abravīt ||
Alors, parvenu au vaste rivage —dont le sol pierreux était poli par les flots impétueux qui se soulevaient— Rāma prononça ces paroles.
Atonce Rama sprung from there (top of mountain) on to an extensive surface of the earth polished by the waves of the ocean spoke these words on reaching there.
Dharma at a threshold moment is expressed through truthful resolve and right counsel—speech that guides action toward justice.
At the sea-shore, Rāma arrives at a decisive point in the campaign and begins to address his companions.
Purposeful leadership through timely, truthful speech (satya + hitavacana).
