Je suis troublée et pleine de crainte; mon esprit n’a point de repos. Par peur de lui je suis venue au bosquet d’Aśoka, et même ici je demeure agitée.
"I am perturbed and doubtful (of my life). My mind is not at ease. Even though I am in Ashoka Grove I am disturbed."
Truthful expression of suffering: Sītā does not mask her fear; acknowledging reality (satya) becomes part of steadfast endurance in adversity.
Sītā speaks from captivity in the Aśoka grove, confessing her continuing anxiety and insecurity due to fear of Rāvaṇa.
Sītā’s resilience—despite fear and mental unrest, she continues to endure without yielding her principles.
