Saardula’s Spy-Report on Rama’s Camp and the Vanara Host
अथर्क्षरजसःपुत्रोयुधिराजासुदुर्जयः ।गद्गदस्याथपुत्त्रोऽत्रजाम्बवानितिविश्रुतः ।।6.30.20।।
atharkṣarajasaḥ putro yudhi rājā sudurjayaḥ | gadgadasyātha puttro 'tra jāmbavān iti viśrutaḥ || 6.30.20 ||
Puis il dit : Le roi, fils de Ṛkṣarāja, est extrêmement difficile à vaincre au combat. Et voici aussi le fils de Gadgada, renommé sous le nom de Jāmbavān.
"Certainly, king Sugriva, the son of Rksharaja's, is difficult to be conquered in battle. Here is the son of Gadgada, famously called as Jambavan."
Truthful assessment (satya) of strength in war: dharma in counsel includes stating facts plainly, even when they are unfavorable.
Śārdūla is listing prominent vānaras and their prowess/lineage to inform Rāvaṇa about Rāma’s formidable allies.
