महापार्श्वस्य परामर्शः
Mahāpārśva’s Counsel and Rāvaṇa’s Confession of Brahmā’s Curse
इहप्राप्तान्वयंसर्वान् शत्रूंस्तवमहाबल: ।वशेशस्त्रप्रतापेनकरिष्यामोनसंशयः ।।।।
iha prāptān vayaṃ sarvān śatrūṃs tava mahābalaḥ |
vaśe śastra-pratāpena kariṣyāmo na saṃśayaḥ ||
Ô puissant, lorsque tes ennemis seront arrivés ici, nous les mettrons tous sous notre joug par la force de nos armes—sans aucun doute.
"O Ravana of extraordinary strength! We will bring all your enemies under control on their arrival here. There is no doubt."
The verse again shows reliance on mere force. Dharma in the Ramayana insists that victory is not only martial but moral—aligned with satya and justice.
Rāvaṇa is being assured of military success by his supporters as preparations for confrontation with Rāma intensify.
Collective loyalty and courage are displayed, but without ethical grounding; the epic upholds courage guided by dharma, not by arrogance.
