ततस्तदा बहुविधभावितात्मनः कृतात्मनो जनकसुतां सुवर्त्मनः।अपश्यतोऽभवदतिदुःखितं मनः सुचक्षुषः प्रविचरतो महात्मनः।।5.7.17।।
tatas tadā bahuvidha-bhāvita-ātmanaḥ kṛtātmano janaka-sutāṃ su-vartmanaḥ | apaśyato 'bhavad ati-duḥkhitaṃ manaḥ su-cakṣuṣaḥ pravicarato mahātmanaḥ ||
Alors, tandis que ce grand d’âme au regard clair—dont l’esprit envisageait maintes possibilités, maître de lui-même et fidèle à la voie juste—errait sans trouver la fille de Janaka, son cœur devint accablé d’une peine extrême.
