Traînés sur leurs genoux et soumis à une exhibition obscène, les gardes — profondément bouleversés — allèrent trouver Dadhimukha et lui rapportèrent ce qui s’était passé.
Some were dragged on their knees and tossed up. Some monkeys exhibited their private parts, showing indecent behaviour. Dadhimukha, highly disturbed at this, said:
Dharma includes maryādā (public propriety) and protection of others’ dignity; humiliating others is adharma even in moments of victory or celebration.
The displaced guards, having been abused and insulted, approach their superior Dadhimukha to inform him of the vānaras’ misconduct.
Truthful reporting and seeking rightful redress through one’s authority rather than retaliating blindly.
