Hanumān’s Return, Roar of Success, and the Announcement “Sītā Seen”
ये तु तत्रोत्तरे तीरे समुद्रस्य महाबलाः।।।।पूर्वं संविष्ठिताश्शूरा वायुपुत्रदिदृक्षवः।महतो वातनुन्नस्य तोयदस्येव गर्जितम्।।।।शुश्रुवुस्ते तदा घोषमूरुवेगं हनूमतः।
ye tu tatrottare tīre samudrasya mahābalāḥ |
pūrvaṃ saṃviṣṭitāḥ śūrā vāyuputra-didṛkṣavaḥ ||
mahato vātanunnasya toyadasyeva garjitam |
śuśruvus te tadā ghoṣam ūruvegaṃ hanūmataḥ ||
Alors ces vaillants et puissants vānaras, qui attendaient déjà sur la rive septentrionale de l’océan, désireux de voir le fils de Vāyu, entendirent le cri de Hanumān—tel le tonnerre d’un vaste nuage de pluie poussé par le vent—s’élevant de la force de ses cuisses lancées à toute vitesse.
Thereafter the brave and powerful monkeys waiting on the northern shore of the ocean for the arrival of the son of the Wind-god, heard the roar and thundering sound of the stormy cloud produced by the sweeping motion of Hanuman's thighs propelled by the speed of his movement.
