उपदेशः / Sampati Instructed and the Search Mission Foretold
नोत्सहेयमहंकर्तुमध्यैव त्वां सपक्षकम्।इहस्थ स्त्वं तु लोकानां हितं कार्यं करिष्यसि।।4.62.13।।
notsaheyam ahaṃ kartum adhyaiva tvāṃ sa-pakṣakam | iha-sthas tvaṃ tu lokānāṃ hitaṃ kāryaṃ kariṣyasi ||
Je ne puis, à l’instant, te rendre tes ailes, avec les tiens. Demeure ici ; en restant ici, tu accompliras une œuvre pour le bien des mondes.
'The king of demons, Ravana who is indestructible even by gods and demons will beabducting his wife from Janastahana.
Dharma prioritizes lokahita (welfare of the world) over personal gain: power (wings) is withheld so that Sampāti remains positioned to serve a larger righteous purpose.
Sampāti seeks restoration, but the sage delays it, instructing him to stay because his presence there will enable a world-benefiting task tied to Rāma’s mission.
Service-orientation: accepting limitation and remaining where one can be most useful to dharma.
