Sugriva’s Remorse and Tara’s Lament after Vali’s Death
स्वर्गेऽपि पद्मामलपत्रनेत्रस्समेत्य सम्प्रेक्ष्य च मामपश्यन्।न ह्येष उच्चावचताम्रचूडाविचित्रवेषाप्सरसोऽभजिष्यत्।।।।
svarge 'pi padmāmalapatranetraḥ sametya samprīkṣya ca mām apaśyan | na hy eṣa uccāvacatāmracūḍā vicitraveṣāpsaraso 'bhajiṣyat ||
Même au ciel, Vāli aux yeux de lotus, s'il ne me voit pas en arrivant, ne se tournera pas vers ces apsaras magnifiquement vêtues et parées de fleurs rouges.
'If Vali with eyes of clear petals of a lotus does not see me in heaven, he may not join the wonderfully dressed apsarasas adorned with different kinds of red flowers in their hair.
