Sunassepha’s Rescue and Visvamitra’s Curse
तद्वाक्यमृषिपुत्रस्य श्रुत्वा हर्षसमुत्सुक: ।जगाम नृपति श्शीघ्रं यज्ञवाटमतन्द्रित:।।।।
tadvākyam ṛṣiputrasya śrutvā harṣasamutsukaḥ | jagāma nṛpatiḥ śīghraṃ yajñavāṭam atandritaḥ ||
Entendant ces paroles du fils du ṛṣi, le roi, transporté de joie, se hâta aussitôt vers l’enceinte du yajña, sans la moindre lenteur.
At the words of the sage's son, the king, eager with delight hastened towards the sacrificial ground.
Promptness in rightful duty: the king acts without delay once a dharmic course appears possible within the sacrificial context.
After hearing the sage’s son, the king proceeds quickly to the sacrificial ground to continue the rite.
Decisive action and diligence (atandratā) in performing one’s pledged obligations.
