The Account of Ahalyā’s Curse and the Deserted Hermitage near Mithilā
हन्त ते कथयिष्यामि श्रुणु तत्त्वेन राघव।।।।यस्येदमाश्रमपदं शप्तं कोपान्महात्मना।
hanta te kathayiṣyāmi śruṇu tattvena rāghava || yasyedam āśramapadaṃ śaptaṃ kopān mahātmanā |
«Eh bien, Rāghava, je vais te le dire ; écoute en vérité : à qui appartient ce lieu d’āśrama, et comment il fut maudit, dans la colère, par une grande âme.»
"O Descendant of the Raghus! I shall tell all you about this hermitage cursed by the wrath of a great man.
