"O Earth you will assume many forms and become wife of many masters. O evilminded one, you did not want me to bear a son. Having been fouled as a result of my anger, you will not have the pleasure of having a son, cursed Uma.
It reinforces that moral causality operates in narrative ethics: harmful intent and obstruction lead to loss of rightful fruits (here, the ‘joy of a son’), and anger intensifies suffering.
This is a duplicative/overlapping verse presentation in the source (Southern Recension formatting), repeating the same curse content while marking it as verse 1.36.24.
The verse functions as a cautionary mirror: it emphasizes the need for restraint and fairness, since uncontrolled anger can become adharma-producing.
