कुशनाभकन्याशतविवाहः — The Marriage of Kuśanābha’s Hundred Daughters
and the Birth of Brahmadatta
स्पृष्टमात्रे तत: पाणौ विकुब्जा विगतज्वरा:।युक्ता: परमया लक्ष्म्या बभु: कन्याशतं तदा।।1.33.23।।ृ32
spṛṣṭamātre tataḥ pāṇau vikubjā vigatajvarāḥ |
yuktāḥ paramayā lakṣmyā babhūḥ kanyāśataṁ tadā ||1.33.23||
Ensuite, au seul contact de sa main, celles qui étaient courbées furent délivrées de la fièvre et de la peine ; et les cent jeunes filles furent alors comblées d’une beauté et d’une grâce suprêmes.
Thereafter, with the mere touch of his hand, the hundred daughters were cured of their hump- back and freed from anguish. They assumed great beauty.
Dharma restores wholeness: rightful union and righteous influence are depicted as removing affliction and bringing auspiciousness.
At the marriage moment, the daughters are miraculously relieved of the deformity and suffering inflicted earlier.
Brahmadatta’s auspiciousness and beneficent presence—power that heals rather than harms.
