अश्वमेधप्रवृत्तिः
Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
नियुक्तास्तत्र पशवस्तत्तदुद्दिश्य दैवतम्।उरगा: पक्षिणश्चैव यथाशास्त्रं प्रचोदिता:।।।।
niyuktās tatra paśavas tattad-uddiśya daivatam | uragāḥ pakṣiṇaś caiva yathā-śāstraṃ pracoditāḥ ||
Là, les animaux furent assignés et mis à part pour les divinités respectives; serpents et oiseaux aussi furent dûment prévus, conformément aux śāstra.
Animals, serpents and birds were kept ready after the sastras intended (for sacrifice) for those respective deities.
