Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
स्वलङ्कृताश्च पुरुषा ब्राह्मणान्पर्यवेषयन्।उपासते च तानन्ये सुमृष्टमणिकुण्डला:।।।।
svalaṅkṛtāś ca puruṣā brāhmaṇān paryaveṣayan |
upāsate ca tān anye sumṛṣṭamaṇikuṇḍalāḥ ||
Des hommes richement vêtus servaient les brahmanes, tandis que d’autres, portant des boucles d’oreilles serties de gemmes étincelantes, se tenaient auprès d’eux pour les assister.
In the interval between ceremonies, eloquent and sagacious brahmins were engaged in various disputations, desirous of victory.
