Daśaratha Questions Sumantra; Messages from the Forest Threshold
सूत मद्वचनात्तस्य तातस्य विदितात्मनः।शिरसा वन्दनीयस्य वन्द्यौ पादौ महात्मनः।।।।
sūta madvacanāt tasya tātasya viditātmanaḥ |
śirasā vandanīyasya vandyau pādau mahātmanaḥ ||
«Ô cocher, transmets de ma part à mon père—noble, maître de lui-même et digne de vénération—que j’incline la tête devant ses pieds, eux-mêmes dignes d’hommage».
'On my behalf convey, O charioteer, without any distinction, my salutations to all thewomen befitting their status and tell them I was enquiring about their wellbeing.
