Transliteration

tathā hy alarkas tejasvī brāhmaṇe vedapārage |

yācamāne svake netre uddhṛtya avimanā dadau ||

Translation

Ainsi le roi Alarka, rayonnant de splendeur, lorsqu’un brahmane versé dans les Veda les lui demanda, s’arracha ses propres yeux et les donna, sans hésitation.
