The Consecration of Rama’s Sandals and Bharata’s Trusteeship at Nandigrama
अभिषिक्ते तु काकुत्स्थे प्रहृष्टमुदिते जने।प्रीतिर्मम यशश्चैव भवेद्राज्याच्चतुर्गुणम्।।।।
abhiṣikte tu kākutsthe prahṛṣṭamudite jane | prītir mama yaśaś caiva bhaved rāj्यāc caturguṇam ||
Quand Kakutstha (Rāma) sera consacré et que le peuple, dans l’allégresse, exultera, ma joie et ma bonne renommée seront quatre fois plus grandes que tout plaisir tiré du pouvoir royal.
After Rama is coronated and the people are delighted and pleased, the renown andpleasure for me will be fourfold (what is obtained from ruling the kingdom).
