Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It praises both: reciting (pāṭha) and listening (śravaṇa), stating that either can lead to purification and the attainment of Viṣṇu’s abode.
It highlights disciplined daily worship: beginning the day with sacred hearing/recitation is presented as especially auspicious and spiritually effective.
The verse teaches that sincere engagement with sacred teaching—through attentive listening or devoted recitation—supports inner purification (freedom from pāpa) and a Viṣṇu-centered spiritual goal.
