कौसल्या मे यथा माता भवती च तथा मम । केकसी चाब्रवीद्रामं चिरं जीव सुखी भव
kausalyā me yathā mātā bhavatī ca tathā mama | kekasī cābravīdrāmaṃ ciraṃ jīva sukhī bhava
«De même que Kausalyā est ma mère, de même toi aussi tu l’es pour moi.» Alors Kekasī dit à Rāma : «Vis longtemps et sois heureux.»

Kekasī addresses Rāma and blesses him with longevity and happiness: “Live long, be happy.”
It states that just as Kausalyā is ‘my mother,’ so the addressed lady is also regarded as a mother-like figure, expressing reverence and familial respect.
The verse highlights honoring elders/maternal figures and responding with benevolent speech—offering blessings and goodwill as a dharmic ideal.
