The Greatness of Hari’s Janmāṣṭamī (Jayantī) Vow

किं पुर्नर्नवमीयुक्ता कुलकोट्यास्तु मुक्तिदा । पलवेधेन राजेंद्र सप्तम्या अष्टमीं त्यजेत्

kiṃ purnarnavamīyuktā kulakoṭyāstu muktidā | palavedhena rājeṃdra saptamyā aṣṭamīṃ tyajet

À plus forte raison, lorsqu’elle est jointe à la Navamī : ne donnerait-elle pas la délivrance à dix millions de lignées ? Ô roi des rois, pour une infime entorse, fût-ce la rupture d’une feuille, qu’on délaisse l’Aṣṭamī au profit de la Saptamī.
